The carving below features some of the wildlife in British Columbia's Pacific Northwest and have been meticulously carved by Canadian artist Henry Maximick. A Black bear mother and yearling cub are displayed, plus bears fishing in a creek are shown. There is a cougar and kitten in the background. Wolves, two Bald Eagles and a raven are also featured. Some of the species of Pacific salmon have been carved in detail which are attached to the front of the display. Trees, bark and branches have been carved to reveal the variety of tree species common in the region. Rocks of various shapes and sizes are also included.
